My name is Christy Snider McCormick. I graduated from Albertville High School in 1990. I attended Snead State Community College from 1990 to 1992, where I receivedan Assosciates' Degree. I attended Auburn University from 1992 to 1993. I received a Bachelor's Degree from Jacksonville State University in 1995. In 2000, I received a Master's Degree from the University of Alabama. In 2002, I received my Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Alabama.
I was the Etowah County Teacher of the Year for the 2007-2008 school year and the Gaston High School Teacher of the Year for 2007-2008 and 2001-2002. For the 2015-2016 and 2011-2012 school years, I was the Teacher of the Year for West End High School.
I taught at Gaston from 1998 through 2010 and have taught AP Calculus, Calculus, Algebra III, Pre-Calculus, Algebra II w/ Trig, Geometry, Algebraic Connections, Algebra I ,Pre-Algebra, 8th grade math, and 7th grade math. I have taught on-campus and online classes at Snead State Community College along with ACCESS classes.
I am very blessed with a wonderful family. I have been married since 1997 to Bryan McCormick from White Plains. We have a son named Cody, who was born in April 2006.
I enjoy reading, surfing online, watching movies, and watching the Atlanta Braves. Quite a bit of my time is spent at the baseball field watching my son, Cody.
