Principal's Message

On behalf of the entire West End High School community, I’d like to welcome you to our website! Located in Walnut Grove, Alabama, WEHS is one of six high schools in the Etowah County School System. Our mission is to educate and inspire every student to think, to learn, and to succeed! In pursuit of that mission, we offer a rigorous academic program and a full complement of elective offerings in a supportive and welcoming environment. The Class of 2016 amassed over $600,000 in scholarships with 60 graduates.  Our success is a result of the ongoing collaboration between teachers, parents, and students, as well as the support of our entire school community.

I hope that you find our website useful and relevant. If you are considering West End High School and the Etowah County School System for your children, I encourage you to contact us to schedule a tour of our school. If you have any questions about WEHS, please do not hesitate to call or email me – I will be happy to assist.

Thank you, and GO PATRIOTS!

Sincerely,

Butch Dixon
Principal
